The Challenge in 2024 introduces for the first time 3 challenges in the OPEN EVENT.
THE KRAKEN, THE GODZILLA and THE KONG !!!
The LIVE draw for Round 1 will take place at the opening ceremony.Seeding as per HEAD JUDGE and contest Director and will be finalised once entries are CLOSED.
Athletes who fail to advance in Rounds 2 and 3 will face THE KRAKEN

TEAM EVENT 2024
The TITAN TEAM EVENT sees teams go heat for heat in a points based challenge to crown the 2024 WESTSIDE TEAM CHAMPIONS.
This year teams will be led by 2024 National Team Representatives, Andrew,Tom,Jedd and Lester.
The Team event kicks off the event on DAY 1 with an all CAPTAIN HEAT.A great start to the event with South Africa's Top 4 in a re-match of the 2023 SA TITLES in Lamberts Bay.
TEAMS will be drawn at the opening function by their respective Captains.
This Challenge is unfortunately now CLOSED for entries.
Surfers will surf one 4/5 man heat and points will be calculated accordingly.
Each team will select their POWER surfer who scores double.
Further details of the Team event format, criteria and scoring system will be announced at the LIVE DRAW.
JUDGES JEDI TWIN FIN CHALLENGE
We will also look to run a Judges Twin Fin Heat which will give our Judges a break each day and an empty line-up on JEDI SHAPED TWIN FINS.
Please let the Head Judge know if you would like to assist in Judging any of these heats.We would love to see you in the Judging booth.
